Our challenge was to design the complex high density programme within a simple legible form. The development is split between 3 vertical residential blocks falling from 32 to 10 stories. The residential blocks sit on a podium containing town houses, resident amenity, urban allotments and commercial space.
Like all of our work, positive interaction between the building and the street is a design priority. We achieved this by designing the podium an appropriate 3 storey scale incorporating town houses, front gardens, balconies, green space commercial space for a mixed use street scene.
Above ground, circulation cores step in from the building width allowing more dual aspect apartments. Roof top amenity and gardens further encourage interaction with daylight and fresh air.
